Программа Dropbox предназначена для обмена файлами с другими пользователями посредством интернета. По сути представляет из себя облачное хранилище данных с возможностью онлайн-синхронизации в комплекте с пользовательским клиентом. Ведется история загрузок и изменений файлов.

Как только вы загрузите файл на сервер Dropbox, он автоматически появится (скачается) на все компьютеры, на которых установлен Dropbox привязан к вашему аккаунту. Если положить файлы в папку «Public», то ими можно будет поделиться с другими людьми. Каждому пользователю Dropbox дается в распоряжение 2 гигабайта пространства, за отдельную плату этот объем можно увеличить.
